Once a significant territory of Kuldhara administration as the first point of entry for the traders travelling from the Middle East and China, the history of Khaba fort dates back to the 13th century. Today, the abandoned fort stands on a hill overlooking the barren village. According to the legends, Khaba is one of those 84 villages that were abandoned in one night and remain deserted till now.

Accompanied by a local guide, explore the breath-taking ruins of the citadel and relive the history through the geological museum exhibiting fossils and the artefacts from the village. Untouched by the world, Khaba fort is one of the best places to witness the sunset or sunrise drenching the desert in its golden glory.
